Strongly linked to our commercial practice we assist clients when they’re faced with disputes or difficulties that can’t seemingly be resolved by agreement.

As advocates for our clients we don’t pre-judge them or pursue a hidden agenda. We strive to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients across a wide spectrum of the Law. We handle contract and commercial disputes, debt recovery, consumer credit actions and personal injury.
We have a substantial family law practice with expertise in cases where there are complex issues relating to child residence and contact and/or financial provision.
We handle a wide range of cases in the criminal courts including road traffic matters and health and safety/ corporate crime. Although the majority of our cases are heard in the Sheriff Court we can arrange representation in High Court cases where appropriate.
We are the only firm in Orkney who are registered to offer the full range of both Civil and Criminal Legal aid including ‘Duty Scheme’ representation for custody cases.
As well as representation for clients in court we also appear in many tribunals, before the local licensing board and before local authority and other quasi-judicial forums.
